Here are two brain teasers for the group. (Well one brain teaser and maybe
I'm just daft on the other one).

1. Directed call pickup on Aastra 9133i/480i

2. BLF's from a remote switch

Q1 details:

Asterisk 1.2 (SVN-branch-1.2-r3892), 9133i Firmware Version 1.4.2.1081,
BLF's working just fine.

Extensions.conf has a functioning *88 macro for call pickup.

Aastra.cfg has:

directed call pickup: "1"

directed call pickup prefix: "*88"

Aastra phone doesn't seem to recognize ringing state of phone attached to a
BLF and prepend the prescribed prefix.

If I dial *88 + ext when another phone is ringing it works just fine.
However hitting the BLF key in that ringing state fails to prepend the *88
to the dial command. BLF is supporting ringing state as the light blinks
when call is ringing/solid when on a call. The phone doesn't seem to
recognize the ringing state and prefix the ext with *88. Notable is that I
got the "directed call pickup prefix:" line from a Google search which
talked about putting the prefix in a similarly named field on the phones Web
UI, however the field does not exist in my Web UI even though I believe I
have the latest firmware. Is the name/syntax of this line incorrect or is
something that has gone MIA in the latest firmware?

Q2 details:

Anyone have any ideas on how to have a BLF for a set on a different switch?

My business partner has an asterisk switch in his location, I have one in my
location. We have integrated the dial plans, yada, yada ... Now I want a BLF
on one of my DSS keys to show when he is on the phone on his switch, and
vise versa. ( ... naw, take that back. I don't want him to know when I'm
here J )

Thoughts/possibilities/
