Ok, here is a purely ear candy related question.
When I first installed Asterisk I began to play with playtones to create
a pleasant ding ding each time I placed a call to certain macros. Its
serves no purpose but to indicate to the caller, "Here we go......" Its
caught on, and now every call we place on our system makes a chirp
chirp. I kinda of think of it like the "NextTel" sound. It allows the
users to know something is happen, just in case some dead air occurs on
the link.
[macro-connecting]
exten => s,1,answer
exten => s,n,wait(0.6)
exten => s,n,NoOp(${CALLERID(all)} IS PLACING A CALL)
exten => s,n,Playtones(1000/30,0/15,1500/30)
exten => s,n,wait(.15)
exten => s,n,StopPlaytones()
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else is doing anything similar to
indicate call progress to users, and if so, would you share some of your
playtones setups?
