Ya, I remember reading their trademark policy a few years ago and
thinking that it would be trouble if they ever tried to enforce it.

One action item from this might be to contact Digium and put TAUG on
the right side of the policy by obtaining permission to use the
Ast*risk name for purposes of the group.  But then what's to stop
someone from advertising their wares and putting "Member of the
Toronto Asterisk User Group" just to get the keyword.  If they allow
our members to use it, and we have no barriers to membership, does it
become a back door to bypass their control?

I don't want to start a flame war.  The state of the law is such that
trademark holders have these rights.  Whether it's good for the
community is debatable I guess.

Simon, is this related to the name change on your voice/text adventure game?
