Just over a year ago we tried the Linksys SRW208P, 8 10/100 PoE + 2 GB
ports . Although it worked and had a web interface, sitting near it was
like sitting near a Boeing 747 with all engines running. You would need
a sound-proof room for this one!
Next we tried the the Netgear FS116P, 16 10/100 ports with of them
powered. Dumb switch, no management, no fans, powers up to 8 phones,
cheap and all are still working fine a year later. Recommended.

Drew

Hi all,
I have a few sets of phones on my desk that I use for work... these include:
* Linksys SPA-942
* Mitel 5220
* Cisco 7960
* Polycom IP430
* Polycom IP501
As you can imagine, my home office has a lot of cables under my desk
using up a lot of power sockets that I'd like to clean up.
I don't need anything with a LOT of ports (looks like I need someting
with 6-8 ports PoE), but my concern is that different kinds of phones
I have. Based on my phone setup above, is there a relatively
inexpensive PoE switch that I can use to get rid of some of these
cords and clean up my home office?
