I heard some rumour that Aastra has something coming at the VON show.

Maybe not. But if it also plays the access device role supporting VPN's we
might. Now we are looking for the inexpensive multi-port FXO with hw echo
can. In-box solution preferred.

There is more than one model of Soekris! The current (5501-70) has a 500MHz
AMD Geode CPU and up to a gig of RAM- do you need more than that for
Asterisk?
