Tomorrow we have an extra event! We are hosting a meeting at the Toronto
Convention Centre in the North building tomorrow evening. It is a free
event, no pre-registration is required.

It also happens to be Mark Spencer's birthday! Hopefully he'll be in town
in time for us to buy him a few drinks ;-)

Steve Lecomte and Dru Lavigne will be presenting on the open source
BlindSide webcasting and conferencing system.

The Blindside Project aims to develop an open source webcasting and
conferencing system. The project uses Red5, Asterisk, jiaxclient,
asterisk-java, OpenOffice, SWFTools, and other open source software.

Bios:
----
Steve Lecomte is the Vice President of Business Development at Core Telecom
Innovations and and CEO of the Lecomte Consulting Group, responsible for the
advancement of open source internet application development, strategic
initiatives and partnerships, with a primary focus on advanced telephony
projects using Asterisk. He is also the founder of the Ottawa Asterisk User
Group and a contributer to the Talent First Network.

Dru Lavigne is a network and systems administrator, IT instructor, author and
international speaker. A prolific author, she is the editor of the Open Source
Business Resource (www.osbr.ca) and she pens the popular FreeBSD Basics column
for O'Reilly and is author of  BSD Hacks and The Best of FreeBSD Basics.
