Hi all,

Just wondering how many, if any, are using ipv6. My initial reading
tel\ls me that it is the coming internet, and eliminnates all the hasles of NAT.

I'm using it, and it works quite well at getting around NAT, however there is 2 things you need to be aware of, firstly the usual automatic method of obtaining an IP address uses your MAC address, for VoIP isn't an issue, but for browsing and other internet related activities might because it can track you better then a cookie in a browser.

Secondly very few VoIP hardware devices support IPv6.

If you are using, or have used, ipv6, please share your
observations/experiences with the group. Particularly with regard to any
hurdles wit ipv6 and asterisk/voip in general/ specific voip codecs.

Does asterisk properly or at all support IPv6 yet? There is other software that does support IPv6 properly though.
