Hi all,
Has anyone had success using either of these two services with asterisk?
1) http://www.freephoneline.ca
They offer free voip using their softphone, but it is said to work with
asterisk. Any success stories or anecdotes?
2) http://www.cia.com
They offer "Home phone Basic" with unlimited local voip calls. They
expect you to use a Linksys SPA-2102, either rentd from them or your own if you
have one. This should be useable with asterisk, but I don't know of anyone who
actually has used it with asterisk.
Cost is $3.95/month for LD access, but you don't have to use the LD
service (which is $0.04/min). Any success stories / anecdotes?
There doesn't seem to be much choice for those of us in the 705 area
code, particularly with a BARRIE, ON DID. Lesnet and Voicenetwork are the only
two I've found, so far. Are there others? Any pointers to services in this
area, along with comments on quality of service would be much appreciated.
