Hi all, I have two features that I would like available for common use, they seem elusive as far as actually finding any working code and are way beyond my ability to code.
1. Barge-in/monitor -- ability to dial a feature code, enter an extesion number and be connected to the conversation (a variant could listen only). For some reason this is more complex than it sounds. Solutions involving "meetme" and entering channel numbers don't seem to be very stable or practical. Another approach might be to create a signal from the SIP extension and use the native conference feature in the SIP protocol for that extension to conference in the originating barge -in caller's extension. 2. Callback/DISA ---- both Trixbox and Elastix have these features for people who have unlimited incoming plans on their cell phones. It works perfectly. To further increase the usefulness of this feature I would like to see the ability to remotely hang-up on the far end of the DISA call and return dial tone to the user (using the * or # ). In this way the user can make multiple calls without having to dial into the system for a callback every time.
