If I am not mistaking what Staphan Angelot told me, those new phones
will use the same firmware base as the 5i series thus should support
whatever the 5x series supports (XML and all).
The hardware inside is different so no you can not put the new
firmware on the ols 9133/480 series.
Quoting David Cook <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I just saw the new Aastra phones, 9143i & 9480i. Both claim to be identical
to their previous brethren (9133i/480i) but support "advanced functionality
previously only available in the 5x series).
Does this mean directed call pickup works? (Dials user configured number
in-front of the key value -if- the current state is "ringing" so you can
have a dialplan written to make it work like customers expect).
Are these really the same phone just with the 5x firmware on them?
Does this mean we can put this firmware on our old 480i/9133i's or is that a
no-no?
