Make sure that QoS on the network interface in Vista is disabled.
Make sure you have latest BIOS and network drivers from HP. I'm running Zoiper on a HP nw9440 running Kubuntu here with great quality. You might want to disable Zoiper echo cancel and silence detection also. ---- Andre Courchesne - Consultant http://www.net-forces.com Phone: (514) 667-8448 MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: VoipForces Chuck Mariotti wrote:
A sales rep upgraded their computer to a new HP laptop (from an older Dell laptop). After installing ZoIPer IAX their quality is crappy at best, with gaps in conversations. It is running Vista 32bit (haven't had an issue with Vista yet with any other reps). Of course, running it on the old computer (on the same network, through the same router, etc...) works just fine. So it is computer specific, not network specific. Does anyone know of any gotcha's or ways to find out what might be the cause?
