Christopher,

This isn't an answer, unfortunately, but might give you some hint as
to a reason for the scarcity of BB VOIP apps. When I was researching
Fring a few months ago, I looked into whether there was a Blackberry
version. It's something that comes up in their forums a lot.
Whenever it gets asked, regulars get annoyed, there's a sticky for it,
etc.

The Bold is multimedia focused and so this may not apply, but I'll
tell you what the Fring folks say. The answer they give is that the
Blackberry does not allow an application to simultaneously record and
play at the same time. As a result, a full duplex VOIP soft phone is
not possible on that platform.

post from Support half way down the page)

The folks at Fring aught to know their stuff but it seems incredible
that this device wouldn't support full duplex audio apps. One reason
it seems odd is that newer BBs support UMA. That is, hand off between
a Wifi call and a GSM call. (for more info, see the Rogers Hotspot).

If you find something that works, I'd be very interested to hear it.

Best regards,
Dave Donovan
