I would imagine that this would void any warranty if there is one. So keep that in mind if it is a warranty product.

Ray, That power supply is a standard PS. It's either ATX or ATX2, I can't remember. The BCM400 is just a regular PC running Windows NT or Linux. Don't believe the hype. If you peel the stickers off, you'll see the manufacturer and model of the power supply. If you google it, you'll see that it's only a $30 part. Don't give Bell $550 for it. Get a decent power supply from Canada Computers or your favourite store. The only thing to watch is make sure it has long leads to the hard drive connector, that one has to travel all the way up to the front of the case. To be save, you could pick up a $3 splitter to give yourself the extra slack. Only one hard drive connector is used, I'd recommend hot gluing or taping the other ones so you don't have hot +5 and +12 leads floating around in the case. Disclaimer: If this totally fries your BCM, neither I nor my (yet to be born) children can be held responsible. I had to do this myself last year when my Bell service contract let me down. At 8am I told them what was blown and that I needed a power supply. I had a 4 hour contract or something but they didn't show up until the next morning. To add insult to injury, the guy didn't even bring a power supply with him. @#^$*...@*$!!!!!!!!! There are only so many parts in a BCM, why wouldn't you keep a hard drive and a power supply in your truck????? They're the only moving parts in the whole unit. My account team was disappointed when we didn't renew the service agreement. If you really want an original, you should be able to get one at Williams Global. They are located near Dixie and 401. Call ahead and you should be able to pick one up. If I recall, end-user pricing on that is about $400. Now that I've made a vendor recommendation (or two) I should say that, on a point of order, "where can I buy" questions should normally be posted in the taug-biz list. Good luck. I hope you get it all worked out. Dave On Sun, Dec 21, 2008 at 3:47 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: > > I know this is the wrong place to ask, but I can't seem to get one through > my telco provider.
