Options are listed in detail in Appendix A.

There _IS_ an all settings guide, and it is the one I am pointing you to. The directives you're asking for are listed in Appendix A. The configuration file is key/value pairs, not XML.

The phone will also give you it's current config if you log into the web interface and ask it for a backup.

And my last freebie for the evening, from page 927 of the very manual:

Message Waiting Indicator Settings

   Description:

Allows you to enable the Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) on a single
line or on all lines on the phone. For example, if you set this
parameter to 3, the LED illuminates if a voice mail is pending on
line 3. If you set this parameter to 0, the LED illuminates if a
voice mail is pending on any line on the phone (lines 1 through 9).
Note: To enable MWI for all lines in the configuration files, set
this parameter to zero (0). The enable MWI for all lines in the
Aastra Web UI, select “All” in the “Message Waiting Indicator Line”
   field.

   Format: Integer
   Default Value: 0 (all lines)
   Range: 0 to 9
Example: mwi led line: 3 <---- THIS IS WHAT YOU PUT IN YOUR CONFIG

Thanks for the feedback Simon and Andrew,

hmmm....they also have this:

http://www.aastra.com/cps/rde/xchg/SID-3D8CCB6A-61B22847/04/hs.xsl/19708.htm

Which from the looks of it corresponds to the link you mentioned. But again, as Andrew says they don't have an "All Settings" guide. For example, this is what is probably where I should find the things I need:

User manuals:
   53i (6753i) User Guide , Version 2.4 , English , PDF , 12,557 KB
Aastra XML Scripts for trixbox CE , Version 2.0.0 , English , PDF , 2041 KB
   5xi series, 9143i, 9480i and 9480iCT SIP IP Phone Administrator Guide, V
2.4.0, November 2008 , English , PDF , 18269 KB
5xi series, 9143i, 9480i and 9480iCT SIP IP Phone Release Notes , Version
2.4.0 , English , PDF , 1402 KB
5xi series, 9143i, 9480i and 9480iCT SIP IP Phone XML Development Guide ,
Release 2.4.0 November 2008 , English , ZIP , 4703 KB

The User Guide, Admin Guide are no help. Astra XML scripts for Trixbox are a bit helpful and XML Development guide has a sample 53i.cfg file which has this only:

# SIP Lines
sip line1 auth name: $$AA_SIPAUTHNAME_AA$$
sip line1 password: $$AA_SIPSECRET_AA$$
sip line1 user name: $$AA_SIPUSERNAME_AA$$
sip line1 display name: $$AA_SIPCALLERID_AA$$
sip line1 screen name: $$AA_SIPCALLERID_AA$$
sip line1 proxy ip: $$AA_PROXY_SERVER_AA$$
sip line1 proxy port: 5060
sip line1 registrar ip: $$AA_REGISTRAR_SERVER_AA$$
sip line1 registrar port: 5060
sip line1 vmail: *98
sip line1 mode: 0
# Action URI
action uri startup:

I am sure there are more parameters that I can include here (e.g. MWI, etc...)

Can someone post their .cfg feature rich file here please?

Thanks

You're on the dummy website. I don't know why they have that.

aastratelecom.com -> support -> download area -> 53i -> User Manuals

Hello Everyone,

I am just browsing Aastra.com for guides to get tftpboot working with Aastra 53i phones. I don't seem to find any file that would actually give me a list of all parameters that I can add to the .cfg file. The guides and development kit just have samples of what can be included. I want to know what the names of the keys and what values they can take. Basically everything and all that is possible to put into an mac.cfg file for an Aastra 53i.

Thanks,
Bruce
