I have successfully flashed a couple of WRT160N's (not NL) with DD-WRT. They've 
been running for a few months now without any issues.

Performance seems better than the WRT54GL (it's got a 300MHz CPU). Another plus 
is wireless N support.

Other than the price ($150+) there isn't really anything I can say the WRT54GL 
was better.
