Hi guys,

Thanks to all of you, Simon, Andre and Lloyd, who responded to my query!

For historical reasons, I am using Debian and not ready to switch linux
distributions. It seems that many of you are using Sentos which is RedHat-like
and that's fine.

Anyway, the suggestions re using encrypted .cfg/.tuz files is duly noted,
but I don't think I need to worry about the security issues since this is (for
now) all within a local lan. Unless for some reason the 480ict doesn't like
unencrypted files?

the comment, Andre about touchy tftp servers is something to look into. I
prefer ftp and will try different ftp servers to see if that makes any
difference. Have tried so far, ftpd, ftpd-ssl and proftpd. The proftpd looks
most promising, but still no joy for the 480ict. If ftp won't work, then I will
go to atftpd (Debian's equivalent to atftp-server)

Simon's suggestions re boosting log levels on the phone and server look
promising too. I'll try these when I get some time... hopefully tomorrow
afternoon.

Thanks muchly for the suggestions, guys,
