Hi Guys,
I am testing maximum concurrent capacity for a remotely hosted Asterisk PBX
(hardware and not bandwidth capacity). Should the SIPp run on the remote PBX
box for testing or is that not a good way to measure since it is double the
load (one load from Asterisk, and the other from SIPp)? Or should I run SIPp on
my home computer and test the remote box?
Using my home connection, I am limited by bandwidth, so I can't test it using
SIPp installed on my home computer. Please let me know if my measurements won't
be accurate or if I should times the maximum concurrent calls by 2 since SIPp
has a load as well.
I am using the following command to test and I am playing one of the default
MOH:
sipp -trace_err -sn uac -d 90000 -s 2005 127.0.0.1 -l 330

Once my max of 330 call is reached I dial a queue announcement using EyeBeam to
check for any latency on sound. Eyebeam is installed on my home computer.
Thanks,Bruce
