Hi Bruce, I can't really compare since I don't have any PAP2T's in use, but I have 4 DVG-2001S's running attached to fax machines and they've been running for quite a while now without any problems.
I just had to set the receive and transmission gains (in the Advanced tab) to 7 in order for it to work properly. Hope that helps.
