[This month we're trying out a sponsored event, so please do give me some
feedback on the meeting to help guide future meetings of this nature. Note
that
the meeting will be at the Novotel in North York -- Simon]

Synopsis:

 This Wednesday:

Richard is the founder and President of Positron Telecom, which produces
innovative VoIP equipment for Telephony applications. He was previously a
Sales Engineer, Territory Sales Manager and Product Manager at Eicon
Networks
and later Dialogic Corporation. From there he went on to start his own
Linux
consulting firm, which developed solutions based on OpenWrt and Asterisk
projects, and created a line of embedded appliances at his company
 Bulletendpoints.

This sponsored event will show how Positron has created the market's first
SIP enabled PCI card - no more ZAP / DAHDI - and embedded Asterisk on the
 board itself.

Richard will be discussing how a SIP enabled PCI card allows you to:
  - Build telephony solutions for Virtualization (VMWARE / ZEN / HyperV)
  - Build in redundancy using board and system failover
  - Reduce system load by removing ZAP / DAHDI
  - Take advantage of Unified Communications with Microsoft OCS integration
/
    ESNA Tech

Additionally, he will have a demo system set up for attendees to try out.

 All attendees will also receive:
  - Product discounts
  - Free drinks and finger food following the meeting
