Hey Chuck, Ive done this before. It does work, reliability and max speed through put though is entirley on based on your network and upstreams. Phil

I have a couple of clients that have moved over to VoIP, but the one outstanding issue is dialup. In two cases, these are small medical clinics that that operate completely on VoIP for voice and fax. Working great. The one hold out is that OHIP requires that their billing data be submitted via dialup. Very slow, text menu VT100 type of thing)... ARgh! No other options... Since fax seems to work okay/mostly on G711 (not reliably), and I assume at 9600 baud... I am wondering if a dialup would work? The file to transmit is less than 5k... strictly Text file and is done via Z-Modem. Takes less than 2 minutes to do it... Less than 9600 baud would even be fine. Is/has anyone tried this? (I don't want to experiment with the live OHIP system unless I know it may work). Chuck
