Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has any experience with Cisco 7940 / 7960 phones and
configuring their "digit dialling timeout"... I'll try explain:

We've flipped a whole bunch of 7940's and 7960's from SCCP "skinny"
firmware to SIP firmware and they are now connected to a SIP compliant
proxy (Broadsoft).. what we're now finding is that when dialling digits
on the phone, the amount of time that the phone "waits" before timing
out and dialling those digits is very short (~ 2 seconds).. So when a
user is trying to dial a number and they pause to look at their contacts
to get the rest of the digits, the phone is "impatient" and ends up
putting the call through as is without waiting very long. In the end we
end up with frustrated users and lots of failed calls..

I'm guessing that this problem relates more to the Cisco phones
themselves as we have a bunch of Polycom phones on the same system and
they don't have this issue..

Any help would be appreciated,

Wes
