Subject: Re: [on-asterisk] OpenSIPS/OpenSER

If you invoke save(), it means that you are using opensips as a
registrar and registrations are handled locally.
If you don't want to use opensips as a registrar and you want to
pass registrations to asterisk, then you need to relay the REGISTER
to asterisk in the same way as you relay INVITE to asterisk.
Hope this helps.

This does help. The UAD is now registering in Asterisk after authenticating
through OpenSIPS. This is definitely what I want.

My problem now though, is that the IP attached to the registered UAD in
Asterisk is that of the OpenSIPS server. How can I register the UAD with the
public IP of the device itself?

Really, the only reason I would like to have OpenSIPS in the flow, is to
authenticate with TLS the connections to my Asterisk...

If you want to use a TLS connection via opensips, then calls from asterisk to the registered device will need to go via opensips and in this case you want the asterisk registration to point to the opensips server ... unless I am missing something here.

For more help on opensips please post your questions to the opensips
mailing list.

I have, as well as on the SourceForge OpenSips/OpenSER forum... still
awaiting any replies. I figured since Asterisk is involved, it's not out of
the scope of this list.

The opensips mailing list is more active then the sf forum.

Erik.
