Also speaking of which, I got a notification in the mail from Mobilicity that
appeared to have a $65 unlimited everything including data. Anyone know what
unlimited is for this data plan? Or is it capped?

Subject: [on-asterisk] 3.5G Router to connect your USB 3.5G Modem, aka.
Internet Stick.

Just to share with the community here, I've had amazing success with a
particular brand of 3.5G Wireless Router at its beta stage - details which I
will share later on as I am still doing some tests. I found this router
fascinating as I deployed voip based phone services to remote areas where
DSL or Cable was not an option. However the 3.5G signal was excellent as
we were still within cellular zone.

I've also run Asterisk connected to this 3G router and done tests.
Latency is approximately 150-350 ms *and even with this high latency* both ULAW
and G729 was quite impressive, considering the stick I was using was
giving me anywhere between 400kbps to 1 megabit upstream. I literally ran
5 simultaneous phone calls through this and quality was perfect.

Network analysis showed 0% packet loss.

As much as I am excited about this new router (still in beta) - I'm curious to
know if others in here share the same enthusiasm and see other real world
applications with this? Please let me know if you would be interested in
such type of product. Depending on the interest and enthusiasm from the TAUG
group, I would have no problem to further communicate with the vendor with the
hope that they could provide our group few units as loaner units for those who
are curious for a test drive.

Best,
Reza.
