| I have got an Acer Revo (dual core) version and I am trying to install
| pbxinaflash or Elastix on it but both versions stop at ks.cfg because
| the external HP USB CD-ROM driver is non existent

I've installed Ubuntu on my Revos using an external USB DVD drive.

If you can look at the kernel log (dmesg output), you might find that
some driver is missing or unhappy.

Installing from a USB flash memory stick is probably smarter than
using a CD -- faster, lighter, no moving parts. But if a USB CD drive
doesn't work, I wonder if a USB flash memory would.

| and changing from AHCI
| to Native IDE mode in Bios setup didn't help at all.

Changing AHCI to IDE should not affect USB ports, only SATA ports.
