Well, I'm a newcomer to Asterisk. I recently installed 1.8 on OpenSUSE 11.3. My plans are to configure it to work with a Cisco SPA3102 voice gateway, to enable my Nexus One smart phone to work as an extension of my home phone. I do have VoIP experience, but only with the TalkSwitch VoIP PBX.
