Chuck,

Does the CEO happen to have a Rogers cell phone?

Best Regards,

Subject: [Bulk] [on-asterisk] Caller Name ID wrong but how?

I have a client that is using an Asterisk installation with some VoIP DID's
that I setup in the summer time. They are happy with everything and will be
moving to a new office. About an hour ago, they have asked me to port over
their main phone number to a VoIP DID. I haven't even gotten around to
submitting the paper work, etc. Their main phone number is an analog line
that is forwarded to a DID on the Asterisk box (so they can receive calls).
The forwarding is setup at AllStream. they have owned this phone number for
a number of years. Again, nothing has been touched.

I get an email from them an hour ago indicating that the CEO received a call
from someone at the office on his iPhone and the CallerID Name is some other
company's name. This has been operating without issues for several months.

I looked up the company on Google and sure enough, they have their phone
number listed that is the same. I'm not sure if they are in business anymore
or what, but it's on google.

Anyone have a clue as to what might be happening? Maybe the iPhone has an
app installed that uses Canada411 or something to reverse lookup the number?

Regards,

Chuck Mariotti
