Hi everyone,

I want to run a 24 hour test on a an internet connection by calling into
Asterisk, playing MOH and then recording the channel. I will have Asterisk
on both ends for this test. Asterisk server A will play music on hold while
Asterisk B will record the channel. At the end of the 24 hour, I want to
analyse the audio file for jitter and other problems. I think my job would
be easier if I just broadcast a test tone frequency than music on hold.
This way an audio analyser tool will probably be able to tell me exactly at
what time there was a jitter or loss of voice quality.

Anyhow, since I can't set an listen to the audio file for 24 hours to check
for anomalies, is there an audio analyser program that you know of which
can automate the job for me? I want the program to report back to me if
audio doesn't match a certain frequency at any given time during the 24
hours.

I don't want to do a simple ping test for 24 hours as that is not a good
measure. There are probably end-to-end solutions tools built to do just
what I described but probably cost a fortune so while I have the tools I
want to deploy my own.

Any feedback is much appreciated. Please CC my personal e-mail when
responding as the mailing list is not behaving properly these days.

Thanks,
Bruce
