Henry,
We use gmail at some of our clients for sending the vmail, so it can
certainly be done. We also use SSMTP as the simple mail sending program
- not sure what you are using with your distro....
The important bits for us in the configuration are:
mailhub=smtp.gmail.com:587
[email protected]
UseSTARTTLS=Yes
[email protected]
AuthPass=password
This uses port 587 for sending the email .
