I always appreciated the in person meetings but for me personally, I've been
unable to find the time to go.

Having said that, I wonder if it might be a good idea to try to supplement
those personal meetings with web casts (with archives). I hate the idea of
charging a fee, but if there is a need to do that to ensure a quality
broadcast/web archive system, I think it would be worthy of people's money.

I imagine that some of the webcasting systems might have discount rates for
user groups or an open source version (still need to pay for
bandwidth/services, etc...). But I wonder if something like that is of more
interest.

Subject: [on-asterisk] public talks or workshops

Hey Folks, not been on the list in some time (2 years) and I see we've stopped
having the monthly events...

Is there any particular topics or workshops people would be interested in if we
did a get together again?

Phil
