Good Morning.
Long time lurker. :) I have a client in Alberta who consistently has problems
with their phone system. They are a school at the edge of the city, and the
incumbent telco refuses to buy the cabling. Today, again, the copper lines
have been cut and stolen, meaning no phones for the day.
They have a Cisco PBX with a single full T1 coming in in addition to about 3
POTS lines.
They also have a 100M FD Internet connection, that doesn't even peak past 60M.
So plenty of bandwidth.
I'd like to cut them over to a SIP Trunk, and keep the few POTS lines as
backup. Can anyone recommend a provider that can offer this type of service
for us? I expect to move to a CudaTel phone system shortlyish, but even prior
to that, I'd love to get rid of the copper T1, and carry it over the reliable
and consistent fiber Internet connection.
If you're a provider, and want to pitch your offering, please email me
privately. If you want to recommend someone, here's your chance. Ditto if you
have a negative comment about a provider, or experience with CudaTel or VoIP in
higher connection volumes. I know CudaTel is rebranded FreeSwitch, but I've
never managed to get it connected to the outside world, so I'll pay Barracuda
for the support to make that happen.
Kev.
