We had been running a simple fax server (fax receiver) with the basic
standard ReceiveFAX command in asterisk for the longest time.
Recently we upgraded the fax server to Asterisk 1.8 LTS 1.8.26.1
Following standard setup - no commercial or pirate license, but plain
vanilla ReceiveFax(), we get the following error:
ERROR[11386]: res_fax.c:784 fax_session_reserve: Could not locate a FAX
technology module with capabilities (RECEIVE)
ERROR[11386]: res_fax.c:1726 receivefax_exec: Unable to reserve FAX session.
Suggestions as to what we may be missing here?
Is gneric ReceiveFAX() dropped and we are being pushed to purchase a
license?
