Hi Bruce, Things might have changed since I was involved several years ago but I would guess that this stuff is all shipping out of Tech Data, Ingram, or the like. You can probably get an account with these guys but I'm told that the terms aren't great for low volume customers. You'll probably have to prepay for your product, but that's no worse than retail. Also, you may not get access to all SKUs. That is, you might have to be trained/approved/certified by a certain manufacturer before you can order their stuff through distribution.
The good news is that if you go through all that, Tech Data offers same day delivery and a pickup option from their Mississauga DC. https://www.techdata.ca/reseller/secure/service/delivery/shipping.aspx#pickup Someone who's currently involved as a reseller may have a different/better answer but that's my recollection of it.
