Nguyen,

        At any given time PTXDist just seems to have too many broken or half 
working features.  It's always annoying to download the latest release 
and see what works, what kind of works, and what is just plain broken.

        Also, I really wanted to switch to uclibc for more standardization 
across platforms.  The gumstix, for instance, uses uclibc natively, and 
for good reason.  I know that PTXDist can support uclibc, but with 
buildroot "it just works".  I haven't had that hard of a time getting 
most software to build with buildroot2.  It also seems easier to add 
your own packages.  Also, it's what openwrt and gumstix use, so people 
seem to be more familiar with it.

        I am in no way saying that PTXDist is a bad piece of software, but for 
some reason, at this point, buildroot2 seems to be better for AstLinux.
