Jeff, I posted back on 5/29 and 6/2 regarding this problem. While SOX appears to be on the system, I think it's looking for libraries that no longer exist in AstLinux. I'm not a developer, but I think that SOX either needs to be recompiled under uclibc or somebody with skills which exceed my own will have to add some other libraries in order to make it work.
