Mark,
I know that I haven't, but...
Your initial results jive with what I have been seeing. Make sure to
let us know your progress. There are several things that can be tweaked
in the build and I'd love to talk about them here. Things to look out for:
- gcc versions (-trunk just switched to 3.4.5 from 3.4.2)
- threading library (uclibc sort of supports NPTL, which is now used in
-trunk)
- Asterisk version (I have a branch for Asterisk 1.4)
- kernel version and patches (the Soekris build has a NAPI rx interrupt
mitigation patch enabled)
If you would like I could build several different versions of AstLinux
for you. Not only would it be great to "know" the capacity of the
hardware, we could really use this as an opportunity to optimize
AstLinux and Asterisk!
