As I mentioned in the last email, here's a mini-how to for adding
support for an alternative firewall. Kristian wants this tested more
before it will be included in the next release.

You'll need two files from SVN in this location. The files are slightly
modified to support Astlinux. Taking them from Arno's website will not
work.

http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/astlinux/tags/0.4.3/package/arno-fw/

arno-iptables-firewall and arno-iptables-firewall.conf
You can download the files to your desktop then scp them to your
Astlinux box.

Mount your system rw (mount -o,remount rw / ) then scp them to your
astlinux box.

Put the script in /usr/sbin
Put the conf file in /mnt/kd

Mount your system ro (mount -o,remount ro / )

Next edit the arno-iptables-firewall.conf file. Make sure you
understand which interface is your externally facing ethX and which one
is internal.

Finally, edit rc.conf (which is now a symbolic link pointing to
/mnt/kd/rc.conf if one exists there) You'll need to change the FWVERS
from astfw to arno. It's commented in there so read. If you are
upgrading from an older version, you may need to copy the rc.conf from
/stat/etc/rc.conf to ensure you get all the new variables.

After you are done editing, you should reboot.
