Perhaps we should create a 0.4.3 branch instead of a tag (depending on how you have it setup a tag and a branch could be the same thing). 0.4.3 was rock solid stable build wise, but still has a few small bugs that people keep finding. That way, we could maintain bug fixes in a stable branch while continuing new development in trunk. Some of the new changes in trunk have introduced some instability. (I believe there are still some missing kernel headers which are preventing ipsec from building properly.) While I don't want to discourage people from checking out trunk, it would be more appropriate for most people to check out the 0.4.3 tag/branch rather than trunk. There are plenty of new features in that tag that would keep most people busy for a long time with packages that are known to work well. The changes in trunk are significant enough that a version jump from 0.4.x to 0.5.x makes sense. I won't have time to create the branch until sometime early next week. I would volunteer to maintain the branch (apply bug fixes only).
