[Astlinux-users] EXTUP and EXTDOWN

I'm a comcast cable customer.  They're recently announced speeds up to 12 meg, so I decided to do a little bit of speed testing.

I found that when EXTUP and EXTDOWN  are commented out (#) I have a download speed of 10,179 and an upload speed of 339kbps.

When I set those values to 9100 and 300, my results really surprised me.  1911 down and 242 up.  I'm really surprised they didn't come out closer to to the values I had set.  What other factors are at work here?
