Rich,
The main difference between the WRAP image and Soekris image is the
default serial console speed. The WRAP uses 38.4 and the Soekris use
19.2. What does the 230 use? I have never used them before.
As far as the 500 series (MIPS) it should be possible. I don't have
one of them, though. Would you be willing to test images or loan me a
board for development?
