Hi Folks, Thank you much for your responses.

If this has been added to 0.4.x, it is not evident. I just set the INTIF even though I only had one NIC. Maybe that's my problem. A quick search of the list didn't turn up any info on dnsmasq running when in pbx-only mode... > Second, I made this entry in rc.conf < NTPSERV=pool.ntp.org > to point to > my favorite ntp source ... I set it to an NTP server on my LAN. The PBX gets the proper time, even with only one NIC. > Third, I made this entry in rc.conf < NTPBROADCAST=yes > which I think > makes Astlinux respond to time queries ... I tried this (not actually knowing what ntpbroadcast is). No effect. > To be honest with you, I am not sure which of these did the trick or if it > takes all of the above to make it work ... But my Aastra phones seem to be > getting time from my Astlinux server at this point ... My Aastras don't seem > to sync time immediately after the phone is reset ... Sometimes it takes a > few minutes for it sync up ... But this may be an oddity of the Aastra ... I found Polycoms sync time quickly, whereas my Snoms take a while... The Polycoms seem to get all other DHCP settings properly. Running "ntpdate <ip of pbx>" from my Linux workstation reports "no server suitable for synchronization found", though it works on a different NTP server. There are two "ntpd -s" processes running on the pbx. I'm gonna put another NIC in that box and test again. Or I might figure out how to enable dnsmasq with only one NIC.
