Phil,
I'm using Astlinux in router mode and my personal experience is that
my data connections are far slower when I use the prioritization.

I did my testing with the speed tests available at DSL reports dot
com. I used the advice in rc.conf and set ASTUP and ASTDOWN to about
90% of the values I saw over three separate tests, which averaged
about 335 up and 10,100 on my comcast cable connection. So, I set
them to 300 and 9100.

Tests afterwards indicated I can get about 253 up and 1750 down. My
wife isn't complaining about speed, but I can definitely see the
impact when downloading ISOs and other large files.

I've mentioned this on the list before, but I think Kristian was too
busy with a new release and presenting out of town. If anybody can
tell me that I'm using the tool incorrectly, I'd sure like to know
about it.

Thanks - Tom
