Hello !

I have experiensed a quite strange phenomen I think. Problem is repeated on
Astlinux and other Asterisk distros and on different hardware.

When I use some function, to send back numbers, disa as an example, it works
perfectly well as long as the sequences of numbers is limited to a few, lets
say 2 or 3.

On the other hand, if I try to send a longer sequence of number (from my
mobile or fixed line or IP telephone) it does not work any more if the
sequence of digits is longer, lets say 8-12 like for an telephone number.

A result, when using the disa function to get a dialtone out, it works if i
have preconfigured som short numbers to deal the longer (and real telephone
numbers) via Astlinux.

I also have an GSM Gateway. This has a buildt in "disa like service" and can
generate its own dialtone. If I use it with a short number of digits from my
mobile, lets say 123 it works perfectly well. If I send 12345678 it does not
work. I believe this has nothing to do with my Astlinux server to do (???!)

Is it any of you that have any idea what it is that could make this problems
to send back a longer sequence of nubers to a IP telephone server ?

I have run out of ideas, so I would be happy to receive any new ideas about
this problem.

(And the goal is to make the Astlinux server to work correctely when
receiving longer sequences of incomming digits, via the disa function, or in
other ways, even though I believe this is not a Astlinux only question.)

Best reg Arne.
