But to be fair, the Alix 1c comes with only one eth port. Though it has
vga, audio, ... stuff we probably don't need for a PBX. The net5501
works with the HFC ISDN PCI card...

Still, what's the benefit of having a cheaper solution if that solution
is not a solution because it doesn't work?

Well, get the BIOS fixed - in the case it is a BIOS issue. For sure it
is no mISDN issue (this time).
