The way Drupal works, there would also need to be a re-write setting to 
redirect people from astlinux.org to www.astlinux.org, especially if 
that particular Drupal install is doing a multi-site setup.

Apache's mod_rewrite is pretty easy to use and is appropriate here.  But 
you're correct that the dns entry would also need to be updated.
