Answering myself with a very easy example:
*DIRECTORY="/path/to/Philip/solution/"*
*echo ${DIRECTORY%/} * # The trailing slash was
removed at this point, check it :)
Internally is exactly what i said, but externally is very nice function to
use in makes and so forth...... ;)
