The motherboard I'm using comes with an embedded Intel Ethernet Pro 100
interface, and I'd like to add a PCI card (DECchip 21041 Tulip) so I can
hook up an IP phone directly to the AstLinux box using a cross-over cable.
The IP phone should be able to access the Net through the AstLinux box.
Problem is, even after uncommenting INTIF in rc.conf, rebooting and
checking that rc.conf was saved through UnionFS, ifconfig only sets eth0
(Intel) and doesn't report two NICs, even though the two interfaces are
detected by "lspci".

What should I do to set eth1, and allow the IP phone to have full access to
the Net (it will receive calls from the Net through AstLinux)? Do I need to
recompile my own Linux kernel?
