Graham, This really is more of a question for Asterisk-Users but I have some experience with this situation... As long as you don't need to REGISTER your phones you can have as many phones make outbound calls using the same credentials - no problem. In Asterisk the main limitation is you can only have one phone registered using the same credentials at a time. Some other implementations (OpenSER, for example) allow multiple registrations with the same login information and perform parallel forking for calls to that SIP URI.
