Your comment confuses me a little... The gui.network.conf file is a piece of the /etc/rc.conf config variable script. Any gui related to configuring arno's filrewall would be totally unrelated to that, correct? The beauty of using the rc.conf.d/ directory is that different tabs/ modules that have a specific focus, can read and write a small portion of the overall config variable script.
