Update. 1) The Voicemail and Monitor tabs now play audio via embedded player (object/embed) rather than stuffing it into an empty browser. The Prefs tab "Play WAV recordings in browser..." must be checked to activate this feature. Quicktime should be installed.
Safari now works with or without the "QuickTime Plugin.webplugin" installed. The biggest problem I had was with IE keeping the .wav source from getting cached, resulting in the first "Play" getting replayed. I think I have it worked out...
