Klaus,

Assuming you're using the newer runnix images, do the following:

mount -o remount,rw /oldroot/cdrom

Then scp your new files (astlinuxXXX.run, astlinuxXXX.run.conf 
astlinuxXXX.run.sha1) to /oldroot/cdrom/os/.  Make sure the .conf file 
is edited to appropriately reflect your asturw (and optionally the 
astkd) partition(s).

Reboot and you should be on the new image.  After you reboot, you can 
remove the old image.
